Read the story below, then choose how Xplotar
should respond to evolve to the next stage
of social development.

The Midling Dragons are having a picnic at the Bandi Desert to enjoy the blooming cactuses and the multitude of lizards, basking in the sun.  Xplotar is talking about one of his favorite subjects, “Who Has the Widest Wingspan in Ryuu Now and in the Past,” and he realizes that the other Dragons have wandered off or begun to talk amongst themselves instead of listening to him.  He begins to get frustrated and thinks about what to say.  Help him choose his words:

1. “Hey, guys.  What should we talk about now?  Or do you want to fly up to the clouds for a while to cool off?”

Instead of getting angry, Xplotar thought about what his friends might be thinking.  He decided that they were getting bored and he offered to change the topic or the activity.  Excellent response!  Balanced Jade would be proud.  Congratulations.  You have evolved! If you want, you can play again.

2. “I guess this is interesting to me but not to you guys.  I get it.  We are all different and that is fine.  Why doesn’t someone else talk for a while?”

Xplotar seems to be thinking about others and trying to be interested in them.  Good work, Xplotar, and thank you, Observer.  Congratulations. You have evolved! If you want, you can play again.

3. “Listen to me, you lizard-brains!  Don’t you know that it is rude to walk away or talk while I am talking?”

Bad choice for Xplotar.  He wasn’t thinking about anyone but himself.  Maybe the others were a bit bored by all his talk.  Xplotar seems to be under the influence of Unbalanced Ruby.  Try another answer.

4.  “I am getting angry!  You need to listen to me now so you understand how important wingspan length really is!”

Not a way to make friends.  Seems like Xplotar needs to think about why the others have grown bored with his conversation.  Oblivion must be nearby.  Try another answer.
