Read the story below, then choose how Xplotar
should respond to evolve to the next stage
of social development.

Xplotar is racing giant spiders with his friends and he loses the race.  His spider, Zandilly, usually uses all 8 legs to race and usually crosses the finish line first.  Today, however, Zandilly was running on only 6 legs.  The giant spiders of Ryuu can be very cranky, and when they are feeling this way, they raise a leg and refuse to use it.  It is bad when this happens during a race!  Xplotar is angry that he lost the race and angry with Zandilly.  Should he:

1. Tell his spider, Zandilly, that he never wants to see him again, tell his friends that he hates racing spiders anyway, and stomp off.

Xplotar is under the spell of the invisible villain, Sore Loser.  He needs to break free and learn to be a good loser, a good friend, and a good spider master.  Try another answer.

2. Take a deep breath or two.  Walk or fly away for a minute.  Then return to his friends and say, “Zandilly is just not in a racing mood, I guess.  I better just watch this next race and give him a rest.”

There are Light Forces all around.  Xplotar used the help of Releaser and then Empathy.  He didn’t act on his anger but thought about the situation and decided to be kind and understanding with his cranky spider.  After all, we all have bad days, right?  Even spiders!  Congratulations.  You have evolved! If you want, you can play again.

3. Tell his friends, “I wish Zandilly had raced better.  It makes me angry that he didn’t use all his legs.  But it was a fair race.  Your spiders raced well.  Congratulations
for winning.”

Wow.  That is an awesome response.  Xplotar has learned well under the guidance of the Light Force, Good Loser.  Congratulations.  You have evolved! If you want, you can play again.

4. Let his fire breathing go wild to show his friends, and his spider, that he is
not pleased.

Oh no!  A Dark Force, Angry Confronter, is influencing Xplotar.  Xplotar is not thinking clearly.  He needs to realize that his uncontrolled fire breath might hurt his friends and surely hurt the spiders.  Try another answer.
